Mr. Abdul Hameed P A (Assistant Professor)
Mr. Abdul Hameed P A (Abdullah Abdul Hameed) holds a Masters degree in English and Comparative Literature from Central University of Kerala. His MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi is on the evolution of Kerala’s literary landscape. He is currently pursuing his PhD from University of Delhi.
Mr. Hameed has taught English Linguistics, Translation Studies, and Comparative Literature at Kannur University, Kerala, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and Language and Literature at various colleges under University of Delhi. He has authored a pioneering book on Arabimalayalam literature (CU Kerala Press 2012). He has presented papers in many national and international seminars and workshops. His research areas include Translation Studies, Comparative Literature, and Postcolonial Studies. He was part of a collaborative project with UGC-DAAD funding, and visited University of Gottingen, Germany in 2015. He is a member of Comparative Literature Association of India (CLAI), and International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA).
