Dr. Vibha Singh Chauhan holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi for her work on “Community in Fiction: A Study of Selected Novels in English, Hindi and Bangla”. She has more than three decades of undergraduate teaching experience. She has authored many books including Maa Siddeshwari (ISBN: 81-7436-121-9), Cultural Diversity, Linguistic Plurality and Literary Traditions in India (ISBN: 1403 92817 7), Beyond Black Waters (ISBN: 0143103261), Ganga Jamuna Beech (ISBN: 81-8187-1441-8), Angarey (ISBN: 978-81-291-3108-9), and The Emotions and Actions of Revenge (978-1-84888-362-8). She has published extensively in reputed national and international journals. Her areas of interest are Non-Urban Cultures and Literature, and Translation. 

Dr. Chauhan has visited SOAS, UK (2006), and Oxford, UK (2013) for academic presentations. She has undertaken the academic project Gods People Make: A survey of Local Deities in eastern Uttar Pradesh (funded by Nehru Cambridge Trust for Indian Collections at the Victoria and Albert Museum) in 1998. Dr. Chauhan isConvener and Head Examiner of the paper Cultural Diversity, Linguistic Plurality and Literary Traditions in India for university examinations since 2006. She was convener of the Girl’s Association, and Student Aid Committee. She served as the secretary of Staff Association in the year 2010, and as president of College Staff Association in 2015-16. Dr. Chauhan is a member of Indian Association of Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies, Maithili Bhojpuri Akademi, Delhi Government (From 2008-2012), Governing Body, Khalsa College, Amritsar, and Expert Committee, UPSC, Government of India.
