Dr. Namrata Chaturvedi has completed her Masters degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She holds an MPhil and PhD in English from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English literature for over ten years at North Eastern Hill University, Sherbutse College (Bhutan) and various colleges of the University of Delhi. She is the editor of a forthcoming volume of critical essays onAbhijnanasakuntalam. She writes on comparative poetics, devotional literature and the history of religion. She is presently working on a book on Richard Crashaw and the metaphysics of grief.
