Dr. Mohammed Afzal holds an MPhil and PhD in English from Department of English, University of Delhi. His doctoral thesis is a sociological study of the evolution of early Urdu novel. Dr. Afzal has twelve years of teaching experience. He has presented many papers in national and international conferences, such as the University of Wisconsin, the University of Chicago, and SOAS, University of London. He is engaged in research projects in Centre for Academic Translation and Archiving, Department of English, University of Delhi. His areas of interests include Indian Novel, Seventeenth Century Poetry, and Nineteenth Century British Literature. He authored a book titled Relocating Jane Eyre: Religion and Politics in Victorian Britain in 2019.
